The Queensland state electorate of Ferny Grove is located to the North-West of Brisbane and was created in 1992.

The electorate is a mix of the leafy Moreton Bay Regional Council Hills District, outer suburban Brisbane City Council suburbs and the wide expanses of the semi-rural Samford region. It is home to more than thirty-two thousand electors mainly concentrated in the South-East suburban pocket. To the West and North-West lie the forested expanses of the D’Aguilar ranges which include the National Park areas of Mount Nebo, Mount Glorious and Cedar Creek.
